Sprint Competitive Canoe Kayak U12/U14/U16

Sprint Canoe Kayak Fall/Winter/Full Year Programs are for beginner, intermediate & advanced athletes ages 12yrs or older.

U12 Fall Practice Schedule:

  • Tuesday and Thursday: Paddle + Circuit (4-6:30 pm)
  • Saturday: Paddle (10 am-12 pm)
  • Transition to runs instead of paddles early October, though we may paddle on warmer days
  • Option to join morning swims starting October 6 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 6-7 am

Events:

  • September 27: Fallapalooza @ Carleton Place Canoe Club

U14 Practice Schedule:

  • Monday and Friday: Paddle (4-6 pm)
  • Tuesday and Thursday: Paddle + Circuit/Weights (4-6:30 pm)
  • Saturday: Weights + Paddle (9 am-12 pm)
  • Starting October 6, morning swims on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 6-7 am

Events:

  • October 4: Ontario Cup: Long Distance Regatta @ Rideau Canoe Club

Masters Winter Program (Adults 25+)

Masters Winter Program is for adult paddlers who want to get in shape, stay in shape, and get ready for next season!

Our Winter Program for Adults 25+ uses a social and balanced approach to fitness, designed for master paddlers who want to build strength, endurance, and mobility while having fun and training as a team.

From beginners to seasoned athletes – whether you’re new to lifting or already strong, we’ll help you progress!

Training entails:

  • Two nights a week of coached strength and conditioning
  • Take-home mobility sessions to keep you moving
  • Saturday morning run or skate ski for endurance (weather-dependent)
  • Fitness testing to track your progress!

Program runs from early November to the end of April.
